We see what we know. Knowing what we see is the trick--

Remember that innovation is sought after in times of crises, for us engineers what is an important item is how the innovation the change is perceived by the user.

Perceived Change now to minimize the perception

There must be a perceived Advantage. The change must benefit the user for the user to even listen.

Compatibility, it must closely fit to what is being done now. It may not be the best use to be the best fit.

Perceived Simplicity

Divisibility, can be tried one phase at a time
